Last year my friend Gail applied and was approved for a home through Habitat for Humanity. Gail has worked many hard hours to reach her volunteer hours.
Gail is legally blind. I’ve written about Gail before and her strength and courage. She never ceases to amaze me.
In the pictures below, you will see her new home being built. She is pictured with her seeing eye dog.
There were countless volunteers there today. Young men and women from the Navy volunteer regularly with Habitat and there were several volunteers from Olive Baptist helping Gail to reach her hours needed before she moves in.
Being on site, seeing the house going up was very emotional. This is a good thing.
